Most likely, it’s a rectangle or a square. Lightly sketch this foundational shape. Now, look at the objects on top: Does that framed picture look like a combination of a square and a rectangle? Is your pencil holder a cylinder? (Maybe even a double cylinder!) Break every item down into its simplest geometric form.

Step 2: Play with Perspective and Depth Next, let’s focus on perspective. Take a moment to observe how your computer sits on the table. Is it more rectangular, or does it have rounded edges?
